University of Kansas - Allen Fieldhouse
The Challenge: University of Kansas - Allen Fieldhouse needed a state-of-the-art digital control room to power the newly installed video boards at the university’s Allen Fieldhouse - one of the most famous arenas in college basketball - on a limited budget and extremely tight timeline.
The Alpha Solution: Starting in the spring of 2005, Alpha Video began working on a design for a new digital control room for the University of Kansas that met its production criteria. Working with a very limited budget, Alpha redesigned the system to provide complete
functionality and allow for easy expansion. Alpha engineered the entire system, provided all documentation for the system, integration support for router programming, virtual monitor wall programming and final system commissioning.
The Results: Alpha Video helped deliver a cutting-edge digital control room that not only handles all current production needs, but also can easily be expanded to meet all future production needs. The control room is the heart of a technology renovation at Allen
Fieldhouse, and the Rock Chalk Video productions are a hit with fans that are able to view events in the arena on video boards for the first time.
