Virchow Krause
Virchow Krause, one of the nation’s top 20 largest certified public accounting firms, had an immediate need to integrate audiovisual technology when they re-located their Minnesota office to downtown Minneapolis. Located in one of the largest skyscrapers in the area, Virchow Krause occupies five floors, and wanted to ensure effective communication throughout. The firm called upon Alpha Video & Audio, Inc. to assist with their audio, video, conferencing, control, and presentation system needs.
Utilizing effective communication
Alpha was tasked with designing and installing the systems for the company’s main boardroom, eleven conference rooms, the reception area, and the café. In all of these areas, state-of-the-art technology was used to ensure effective communication for the Virchow Krause employees and their clients.
In the main boardroom, Alpha integrated a fully retractable screen, multiple video sources for laptop and DVD use, audio reinforcement with ceiling flush mount ceiling speakers, audio/video conferencing capabilities, and system control with a touch screen panel. This technology allows the Virchow Krause employees to efficiently communicate with anyone, anywhere in the world.
The eleven conference rooms were all equipped with LCD and VGA inputs, so employees can utilize the space while working with clients. High definition plasmas, LCD monitors, or ceiling-mounted projectors were all furnished within the rooms, controlled via wall-mounted control panels. In addition, Smart Technology interactive boards were integrated into the spaces for advanced communication and presentation capabilities.
Finally, the reception and café areas were equipped with large displays to broadcast live television and presentations. In the reception area, the system was configured to show multiple programs running simultaneously. The café also utilized this technology, but with the ability to interface with a Wii game console so that employees can play during their lunch breaks.
