Mortenson Construction
From August 17, 2009 Sound & Communications article on the renovated headquarters of Mortenson Construction:
Alpha Video and Audio was contracted to design and integrate audiovisual technology for the front lobby displays, four conference rooms, one videoconferencing room, the cafe and an overflow area.
After entering the construction company's headquarters, we're drawn to a huge photo mosaic composite of Mortenson projects, which are rear-projected directly onto a large, 120-inch screen.
There are four conference rooms with AV capability and Crestron touchpanel access. Although each room has its own specific functions, each has teleconferencing capability, wireless boundary mics, a Blu-ray disc player, ceiling speakers and a lighting system.
The operator room, which is 12'x8' and seats eight people is set up for videoconferencing via a Polycom codec.....Four tabletop wireless boundary mics provide teleconferencing, as well. Furthermore, the room's splayed conference table's staggered seating allows all the videoconferencing participants to be seen clearly by customers and design partners at the far viewing site.
