Alpha Video's Digital Services Group Provides "wow" Factor for Jennie-O Customers
When the Jennie-O Turkey Store in Wilmar, Minnesota needed a demo room to showcase their new products to their customers, they researched various options and held numerous meetings in order to decide the best route to take. They knew they wanted a practical yet state-of-the-art room with updated technologies in order to provide a “wow” factor for their
customers.
“Jennie-O’s parent company, Hormel Manufacturing, in Austin, Minnesota had done business with Alpha Video in the past,” said Mike Benson, Jennie-O’s Research and Development Director. “We decided we wanted a videoconferencing facility that could also be used by other departments such as R&D and engineering to video conference with our parent company in Austin. Our goal was to reduce travel time and travel costs for these frequent meetings.” According to Benson, Alpha seemed to be the natural choice to consult.
Benson contacted Joel Fusco, Alpha Video’s corporate solutions specialist, who worked with the Jennie-O team to design and install a functional and modern demo/conference room. Under Fusco’s direction, Alpha installed a Crestron control system, a Panasonic plasma display, Polycom audio and video conferencing equipment, and Sony videoconferencing cameras.
“The benefits have been enormous and immediate,” said Benson. “We are already saving travel time, and the ability of our marketing department to conduct high quality presentations is incredibly valuable.”
Benson said Jennie-O employees have been very positive about the upgraded room. “It’s great to be able to walk into a room and press a button and get video and audio conferencing. And everyone loves the resolution of the plasma.”
