Sr. Sports Account Executive

Job Description:
This sales team member must have experience selling technology solutions to collegiate and professional sports organizations, be a great team player and strategic self-starter.

Reporting to the Director of the Sports & Entertainment Group, you will prospect and develop new business for the group, a division of Alpha Video & Audio, Inc.

Your specific responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
• Meeting minimum quarterly/YTD sales quotas for Sports Group solution categories
• Manage and close sales, assertively positioning within accounts to generate new sales in the Western half of the U.S., including ND, SD, MT, WY, CO, NM, AZ, UT, ID, WA, OR, NV, CA, AK, HI and possibly Canada
• Additional opportunities, based on relationships, may also be available outside of this primary territory
• Enter all relevant customer data into company CRM system
• Generating new business by selling the complete portfolio of Sports Group solutions (LIVE, EDIT, TEAM, DISPLAY, SOUND, NETWORK, GEAR & SERVICES)
• Visit in person new prospects to present solution portfolio. Expected travel of 1-2 weeks/month
• Develop new quotes for qualified prospects every week
• Minimum of 30 outbound voice calls or emails for prospecting purposes into any market vertical weekly
• Collaborate with Marketing Department on regional prospecting campaigns
• Represent Sports Group at various industry specific marketing events and tradeshows
• Mastering ongoing product knowledge
• Managing a “Hot List’ of prospects with supporting strategy on closing the business
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to quickly identify an opportunity and have the tenacity to follow through to sales closure
• Proven track record of success selling technology solutions to the Sports & Entertainment marketplace
• Advanced selling and negotiation skills
• Strong business development, account management, and relationship building skills
• Strong investigative and listening skills with above average problem-solving ability
• Superior communication and presentation skills
• Strong aptitude for technology and technology projects
• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years successful direct sales of sports technology or IT solutions
• Three + years successful sales experience (in the Visual Communications Industry)
