Alpha Video’s Digital Services Group Hosts International Webstreaming Event

Three-part live webstreaming event helps leading security company communicate worldwide

 

Minneapolis, MN, September 28, 2007 – Alpha Video’s Digital Services Group (DSG), a leading visual communications provider, has announced the completion of a three-part webstreaming event for Secure Computing, headquartered in San Jose, CA.

 

The company’s main goal was to communicate with its personnel worldwide, specifically for a sales training event that would reach out to many of its 900 employees.  Secure Computing contracted DSG to host the three-part event, including all equipment and network services for the seminar. 

 

To assist Secure Computing in the first phase, Alpha’s Digital Services Group worked with its rental department to provide multiple cameras and other equipment for the four-hour live shoot, held in Alpha’s training center.  DSG recommended a streaming format that would serve the client’s requirements, and determined the type of distribution method that would be most effective.

 

During the second phase, the seminar was presented as a live webcast to all of Secure Computing’s sales force in North America.  The video was also recorded and re-formatted so that it could be streamed to the company’s JAPAC sales personnel in Asia Pacific.  Finally, during the third phase, another version was re-broadcast to their EMEA sales force in Europe.  Specific locations that saw the broadcast include: Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Australia, Calcutta, London, Paris and Munich.    

 

The event was Secure Computing’s first-ever, high quality live video webcast.  “Alpha works with such professionalism that this went off without a hitch,” said Frank Hibbard, Manager of Sales Training.  “We are very happy and will absolutely use Alpha again for our simulcast needs, as well as look to Alpha for other projects that fit into their service offerings.”   

 

Digital Services Group was on-hand throughout all phases of the event to operate the encoding and production equipment, as well as provide technical support if needed.  Throughout all three phases, DSG only received three technical support calls, which were unrelated to DSG’s services; however, were still resolved within a matter of minutes. 

 

The live event was completed in early September 2007.
