Alpha Video’s Academic Group Completes District Wide Security Installation
Leading audiovisual company completes surveillance system for Jefferson Schools
Minneapolis, MN, July 2, 2007 – Alpha Video, a leading professional video systems integrator, is near completion of a unique security integration at the Jefferson Scranton Community School District, located in Jefferson, IA.
The school district needed a comprehensive surveillance plan to address security concerns, as well as provide students and employees with an added feeling of safety. Jefferson’s foremost objective was to increase its ability to dedicate more hard drive and frames per second to various different school access points. Alpha Video responded by designing and installing an effective system throughout all three of the district buildings, and included: 59 indoor fixed cameras, five outdoor fixed cameras, 19 pan/tilt zoom (PTZ) cameras, and six security recorders.
This state-of-the-art technology now ensures that the district, its students and employees are protected by acts of violence and vandalism. It also gives Jefferson the flexibility to allocate its hard drive resources to record any incidences and gain more effective surveillance at all building access points.
