Anheuser-Busch
Alpha Video was contracted by Anheuser-Busch to provide a variety of services, including the design and installation for their Broadcast Satellite Training Network at its St. Louis, Missouri headquarters. Alpha designed and installed a new Pro-Bel Video Router, Sea Change Media Cluster Server, Sundance Digital Automation Systems and all related items needed for completion. All equipment was integrated with Anheuser-Busch's existing equipment.
AT&T Broadband
AT&T Broadband had just built a new Master Head End Facility, and needed an audiovisual consultant to work on the Network Operations Center for the building. Alpha VIdeo was contracted as the consultant for this important building, a facility that serves over 600,000 of the Twin Cities Cable Subscribers with digital cable, high-speed data and local telephone service. Working with AT&T, Alpha Video designed all rack layouts, wiring schematics, Crestron Control Systems and product requirements. As the consultant to the architect for the project, Alpha was also tasked with providing information such as power and heat loads to the architects.
Target Usability Lab
Target contracted Alpha Video to update its usability lab, which is used to measure how consumers interact with its brand. Alpha provided unique tools that would give users the ability to view high-resolution images on high-resolution monitors, and overlay composite video camera shots on top. This would allow all PC content to be easily read during evaluation, with the head shot, hands shot, or both displayed in separate windows on the same high-resolution screen. In addition, the composite video windows would give the user capability to reposition or resize the images in real-time, while an archived copy of the session could be converted to VHS or DVD formats if required. Alpha also reinforced all audio in the observation areas with overhead speakers, adding individual headphone stations for private communication between the observational staff.
Hormel Foods Corporation
Hormel Foods contacted Alpha Video to provide design and installation services for enhancing communications throughout its main conference and board rooms. Alpha provided all rooms with an integrated control system that would control a DVD/VCR player, lighting system, a data/video projector, screens and all necessary switchers. It included conference table connectivity for ease of use, as well as a wireless touch panel to manage the system and a lighting interface to control the lighting within the rooms.
MGI Pharma
MGI Pharma contracted Alpha Video when it began a major expansion project in its Bloomington, MN location. Alpha provided many features to the facility, including: electric projection screens, blackout shades to help minimize light, ceiling speakers to provide audio reinforcement, wireless microphone systems, audio conferencing, portable cameras, pop-up connectivity within conference room tables, and plasma TV’s. Due to the variety and substantial equipment needed in the expansion, Alpha also installed a touch panel control system that would manage the entire system with a touch of the button.
The Toro Company
Toro contracted Alpha Video to help modernize the company’s screening room, including updating its existing production system. Alpha designed and installed many elements within the space, such as new routing that would connect to several different display and recording devices, including HD projection, analog monitors, DV/VHS decks and Mac workstations. This system would allow multiple users at Toro to route the desired source to the appropriate display and/or recording device simultaneously. Alpha designed the system with new council flat screens that would receive the highest signal quality possible, and to be fully operable by a touch panel control or a Mac workstation.
Honda of America
Alpha Video’s Digital Display Group (DDG) and its Ohio region partner, Industrial Video, worked together to provide corporate communication solutions to several divisions within Honda of America. Honda Manufacturing had a specific need to communicate to its employees throughout its multi-building campus, and to reach this objective, DDG and Industrial Video installed a CastNET system that would enable non-technical employees to broadcast messaging throughout the division. This system not only allowed for company-wide messaging, but it also gave Honda Manufacturing the ability to broadcast unique messages to individual buildings, reaching specific people with specialized messaging.
Colle+McVoy - Minneapolis, MN
When Colle+McVoy decided to move its Minnesota location from Bloomington, MN to downtown Minneapolis, MN, it contracted Alpha Video to provide integration solutions, including updated technology for its central boardroom. Being a leading advertising agency, Colle+McVoy knew it needed to stay competitive with its systems, and with Alpha’s assistance, was able to install a full state-of-the-art projection and audio system. The new systems included a rear projector screen, a user-friendly control panel, pop-up connectivity within the tables, and enhanced routing to limit cabling and clutter throughout the room.
Fairview Hospitals
Fairview Hospitals contracted Alpha to upgrade its surgical training technology, including two operating rooms, a master control room and two remote viewing rooms. Alpha created a master control room that is able to control the high definition cameras mounted to surgical equipment, as well as the high-resolution video feeds that are routed to the appropriate viewing rooms. Two projectors were then mounted within the remote viewing rooms where the high definition material from the cameras could be displayed, on either one or both of the projectors. This system allows the remote rooms to view surgical procedures in a real-time high definition format, and also view the different surgical equipment simultaneously. Audio systems were also included to allow bi-directional communication from the remote viewing rooms, control room and operation rooms, allowing the staff and doctors the ability to speak directly to the operating room personnel during procedures.
North Memorial Hospital
Alpha Video was contracted by North Memorial Hospital to design and install an A/V presentation/teleconferencing system in its executive boardroom. Alpha Video was able to assess the current and future needs of the hospital, and provided video source and switching equipment, display, audio and control technology, CEO office equipment, installation and configuration, as well as training to cover the system operation.
Ecolab Inc.
When Ecolab decided to transform its existing 19th floor conference room into a fully interactive remote meeting experience, it contacted Alpha Video and consulted with Corporate Solutions to design and install a technically advanced conference room that included video and audio conferencing, a projector, cameras, switchers and enhanced usability through a touch-screen control panel. After Ecolab’s executive management experienced the state-of-the-art technology in its newly updated conference room, they were so impressed that they contracted Alpha again to update the technology for Ecolab’s private executive boardroom on the top floor of its headquarters in downtown Saint Paul, MN. Imation Corp.
Alpha Video was selected by Imation Corporate Services to provide complete audio and visual services to all of its buildings, corporate-wide. Alpha provided its services and products to ten conference rooms, varying in different sizes, applications and technologies, including the Weatherford, Oklahoma location. Alpha designed and installed a system that included a 10’ motorized screen with a front screen high intensity projector, a complete distributed sound system with integrated audio conferencing, multi-camera videoconferencing and a complete control system. The system created for Imation was designed to be easily operated by all end users through an intuitive touch screen panel, and afforded them specialized training and communications capabilities, as well as enhanced meeting manageability that decreased their travel time and expenses.
Guidant Corporation
Guidant Corporation contracted Alpha Video’s Digital Display Group (DDG) to assist in designing and installing an innovative and technically advanced digital communications system that would keep up with its forward-moving culture. DDG was tasked with coming up with a solution that not only would enable Guidant to effectively distribute messages to its employees quickly and easily, but would also support future plans for growth and the need for continued improvements in communications. Ceridian Corporation
When Ceridian Corporation wanted to implement real-time call center statistic displays and an employee communication system across 26 of its United States locations, it called on Alpha Video’s Digital Display Group (DDG) to assist in meeting its goals. Ceridian’s objective was to increase productivity by utilizing digital displays, so call center employees could see real-time statistics, such as how many calls are on hold, and how long those customers have been waiting. This application proved to be very useful for Ceridian, which reported that because of the system, its employees are increasingly motivated with greater employee involvement. More info...
Little Debbie (McKee Foods)
McKee Foods needed a more efficient and effective way to communicate with its nationally located staff, and selected Alpha Video's Digital Display Group (DDG) to provide its CastNET visual communications suite. CastNET, which provides web-based messaging capabilities in a user-friendly format, was implemented throughout the company and now allows personnel at the company's corporate headquarters to create messaging which is interspersed with local content that stays true to McKee's corporate identity. Bloomberg Financial News Network
The Bloomberg Financial News Network needed a more productive way to relay important messages to its worldwide network of employees, and contracted Alpha Video’s Digital Display Group (DDG) to create one of the world’s largest corporate communication solutions for digital signage. DDG installed its CastNET system, a web-based digital messaging program that enables non-technical, in-house employees to make digital signage channels with minimal training. The system is controlled from its corporate headquarters in New York, but allows it to communicate messages internationally, including to its offices throughout Asia and Britain. With over 160 channels, the CastNET system also gives Bloomberg the ability to control its corporate culture and brand messaging, using custom templates and company colors to make sure the messages have the same look and feel.
Jennie-O Turkey - Wilmar, MN
When the Jennie-O needed a demo room to showcase its new products to its customers, they wanted a practical yet state-of-the-art room with updated technologies in order to provide a “wow” factor for their customers. Jennie-O contacted Alpha Video, who worked with the Jennie-O team, to design and install a functional and modern demo/conference room that exceeded their needs and reduced travel time and costs for their frequent meetings.
