Belvidere High Schools - Belvidere, IL
The Belvidere High Schools in Belvidere, IL wanted a more effective way to communicate with their students and staff. They also desired a turnkey system that would allow them to forgo an endless amount of VCR and DVD players; a system that would provide seamless video distribution throughout both buildings. University of New Mexico - Albuquerque, NM
The Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico wanted a state-of-the-art display system that would give its students a realistic financial learning environment. While it was renovating its Financial Services Center, it contracted Alpha Video’s Digital Display Group (DDG) to install a state-of-the-art financial video wall and conference system, which became the cornerstone of the facility. The new system allows for a trading floor look and displays current stock pricing information, a real-time stock and news ticker, and live high definition television feeds in many different layouts on the wall. All of the data displays are all handled by the newly released Scala InfoChannel 5 and DDG’s CastNET software, which permits University personnel to utilize user-friendly control of the wall, configuration, on/off times, etc., through a web-based interface. The system was also configured for a lecture mode that allows for media playback, PowerPoint input and document cameras to aid in classroom instruction. It is supported by CastNET and Scala InfoChannel 5 software, an RGB Spectrum MediaWall, a variety of Orion Plasmas, an Akira Mounting System and a Crestron Control touch panel.
Century College - White Bear Lake, MN
Century called Alpha Video’s Digital Display Group (DDG) to assist in designing and installing state-of-the-art technology that would enable them to improve their current communication system. DDG recommended a solution that would allow administration personnel to input information into web-based software, that would quickly and easily communicate a message throughout college. More info...
Eden Prairie High School - Eden Prairie, MN
Eden Prairie High School knew it needed an updated security system in its 670,000 square-foot building, and worked with Alpha to design and install a system that included an additional 35 cameras placed throughout the landscape. Now, the students and staff at the high school enjoy an increased sense of security, a substantial decrease in vandalism, and the ability to sort out conflicts between students in a more manageable fashion. The Minnetonka School District - Minnetonka, MN
The Minnetonka school district recently set a goal to implement new presentation classroom systems, and contracted Alpha Video to assist in the planning and installation of robust audio and visual solutions. Alpha created a classroom system that could be easily and securely controlled from a Web interface, providing users the capability to select a visual image to display, adjusting classroom sound or request service from a convenient button-panel on the wall or from a Web page. Normandale Community College - Minneapolis, MN
Alpha Video was contracted by Normandale Community College to furnish and install an audiovisual system for the Nursing Laboratory in its new science building. The project included work in two classrooms and a conference room, with equipment including: LCD projection technology, signal processing and routing, video recording and editing capabilities, sound reinforcement, videoconferencing, and AV control systems.
The Crown Point School District - Crown Point, IN
Crown Point wanted to update its studio system, and contracted Alpha to design and install a system that would allow for flexibility, special effects and graphics capabilities. System equipment included: a complete video head-end system, a television studio, portable production carts, studio editing suites, a dozen editing lab stations, classroom TVs and VGA projectors with monitors. Dickinson State University - Dickinson, ND
Alpha installed an advanced distance-learning system that would provide for significant flexibility and state-of-the-art features. The University was so impressed by Alpha Video’s experience and expertise that it contracted them again to help the school achieve its campus-wide effort to update all of its classrooms with “smart” technology, including projectors, computers, and video and audio inputs that would be controlled by an in-classroom network.
Gateway Technical College - Kenosha, WI
Alpha Video was contracted to furnish and install the audiovisual systems for Gateway Technical College’s new BioCATT Center. The project, which included work in two advanced classrooms and two conference rooms included LCD Projection (Sanyo), Plasma Monitors (Sony), Signal Processing and Routing (Altinex), and AV Control Systems (Crestron). These advanced classrooms also included sound reinforcement systems and other advanced presentation systems including videoconferencing (Polycom).
The South Washington School District - Minneapolis, MN
Due to increased nationwide security concerns, South Washington Schools contracted Alpha Video to help develop an effective and efficient plan with equipment including a district wide surveillance camera and digital recorder installation system throughout all 28 of its buildings. More than 500 cameras were implemented to improve the security and safety of both staff and students.
MNSCTC Fergus Falls - Fergus Falls, MN
Alpha worked with Fergus Falls to create technically advanced classrooms of the future, with state-of-the-art equipment, such as: TV systems throughout the school, including eight classrooms, a large rotunda and music hall. The interactive classrooms included state-of-the-art technology with dual projectors in each room and a full touch panel control system with network control. In the rotunda, Alpha installed a large rear-projection screen, a wall plate media center for connectivity and a twelve-button keypad for system control. The schools’ music hall received a system designed to be completely moveable, with a portable cart to position an LCD projector and other multimedia.
The Parkland School District - Allentown, PA
Alpha Video was contracted by Parkland High School to provide two television studios with master control rooms, four presentation/meeting rooms, a 12-building WAN fiber system to carry live video, and ten remote television head ends to mount 450 television monitors. Alpha Video provided all equipment, installation and integration for this $1.5 million project.
The Utica School District - Sterling Heights, MI
Alpha Video’s Digital Display Group (DDG) worked with TEL Systems, its Michigan region partner, to install an education communication solution for Michigan-based Utica schools. With more than 50 buildings throughout the school system, it is the largest educational digital signage installation in America. DDG and TEL Systems provided a CastNET system that enables non-technical, in-house staff to make digital signage channels with minimal training. This allows students and faculty to view important messages at the same time, many of which are not in front of computers. In addition, the CastNET system allows each school to have its own channel, giving it unique capabilities to have specialized messaging broadcast to individual schools.
The Carrollton School System - Carrollton, TX
With 26,000 students living in six cities, the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School District had the challenge to devise a system where they could communicate with community members, students and parents spread over 54 square miles. The school system encompasses 34 schools in Addison, Carrollton, Coppell, Dallas, Farmers Branch and Irving. The Lakeville School District - Lakeville, MN
The Lakeville school district needed to upgrade its security systems at three of its middle schools, and contracted Alpha Video to provide consultation and installation services. Alpha integrated an additional 14 cameras into the school's already existing security network, and upgraded to three digital recorders that provided clearer pictures, along with a built-in clock that made pinpointing incidents easier and more effective. The Birmingham School District - Birmingham, AL
The Birmingham school district worked with Alpha to install a full scale CastNET and video server system, which would allow the school to display customizable messages throughout the building. Its user-friendly features permit users to update the content on a minute-by-minute basis, and with multiple players in different buildings, it can customize unique messaging for specific parts of the school. Birmingham is currently playing hundreds of hours of video content from its archives, digitally through the CastNET system, its local cable access channel and streaming on its web site.
