Alpha Video Installs AV Systems for Bemidji State University Hockey Programs
Minneapolis, MN, December 17, 2010 - Alpha Video's Sports & Entertainment Group, the leading national integrator for audiovisual technologies in collegiate and professional sports facilities, is pleased to announce it successfully completed the installation of the audio, video and presentation systems in Bemidji State University Hockey's wing of the new Sanford Center prior to the start of the current hockey season.
The Sandford Center is a multi-purpose building that includes a 4,000-seat arena with 25 event suites, club seating and a lounge. It serves as the new home for Bemidji State University's Division I Men's and Women's hockey programs.
The state-of-the-art systems designed and installed by Alpha Video make the Bemidji State Hockey facilities some of the most technologically advanced in collegiate hockey. Systems were installed for both the men's and women's programs, including the head coaches' offices, coaching video rooms, team locker rooms, player lounges, a shared weight room and a shared conference room. The center pieces of the project are two mobile coaching stations that can be moved between areas in the facility to assist in coaching and game preparation. The mobile stations allow a coach to use a built-in touchscreen monitor to telestrate over a variety of A/V sources, including video directly from the coach's video-editing laptop. The video output from the coaching station can be easily connected to any monitor in the facility including the large screen locker room monitor for viewing by the athletes before, after or during the period breaks of a hockey game.
