Alpha Video Announces Its Role in New Target Field

Minneapolis, MN  February 8, 2010 - Alpha Video's Sports & Entertainment Group, the leading national integrator and specialist for the sports and entertainment industry, annouced that it is nearly complete with the design and integration of a state-of-the-art high definition replay control room for the newly built Target Field.  The new stadium will be home to the Minnesota Twins professional baseball team, and feature control room technology from Alpha Video that will drive one of the largest high definition video boards in the Midwest.

Alpha's Sports & Entertainment Group secured the $3.6 million contract, which will enable the stadium to entertain its fans and serve as the heart of its digital media initiatives.  Equipment involved in the integration includes (but is not limited to): multiple Sony HDC-1400 and PDW-700 cameras, Nucomm wireless HD camera systems, a Ross Vision 3 production switcher, Evertz HD and AES routing switchers with integrated mulit-image viewers, a six-channel EVS slow motion system, a Ross SMS video server, Sony HDCAM and Panasonic DVCPRO HD VTR's, Apple Final Cut Pro based editing systems, and a Riedel intercom and communication system.

Jeffrey Volk, Director, Alpha Video Sports & Entertainment Group, says, "The new Target Field is an amazing facility that will be highlighted by the high definition production technology that we are integrating.  We are very excited to be working with the Minnesota Twins on such an exciting project that promises to keep Target Field on the forefront of production technology for seasons to come."

Andy Price, Senior Director, Broadcast/Game Presentation, Minnesota Twins, says, "It has been an outstanding partnership with Alpha Video on this historic installation.  At every point of the project, the Twins have felt like Alpha has taken great ownership in this highly visible piece of Target Field.  Their hometown help has made this endeavor a great success."

The stadium, which offers the State of Minnesota the first outdoor professional baseball experience in nearly 30 years, will be completed in time for the 2010 season, beginning in April.  It features a vast array of design elements that incorporate Twins history and building materials native to Minnesota.  The stadium is being constructed by another one of Alpha Video's exceptional clients, Mortenson Construction, which is one of the nation's largest builders.
